Military Leaves One of Its Finest Without Shelter

One might wonder about our Military and how our troops are being looked after today, well they are not being looked after very well at all.

Last night my niece found me on msn, it was around 11:30pm, her husband, who had arrived in Edmonton a bit earlier, found out when he got here that there was no room booked for him and the barracks were locked, no place for our tired soldier to rest his weary head before working today at 7am. Needless to say this is how one of our finest soldiers gear landed on my living room floor.

Ian, my niece's husband, will be heading overseas, he is in the preparatory stage, getting trained and geared up to leave in a few months. Ian may God bless you and bring you home safely to your loving family.

  1. Wow, that really irritates me (I can only imagine how much it irritates him!). I know it was an accident, but you think they'd have some sort of emergency system in place for this type of thing.

I'm not a very religious man, but I will be praying for Ian's safe return.

  3. Some of the ridiculous things Ian gets stuck with, or without in this case, make me so mad and disgusted with the way they treat the soldiers. Shayne and Sandy, Ian is still in training and won't be deployed for a few months but we're not supposed to give details on the internet or facebook so that's probably all I should say.

Darlene, Ian would have been welcome to stay here as well but I'm glad Christine found you up (and on Facebook) so he had a nice, warm, welcoming place to stay.

  4. Oh for sure Jewel, we know that but Chris didn't want to wake you up. I was up anyways as I am again tonight, too late.
