I'm making some headway here, it's not all play and no work even though some days it's not as productive as others it's all going to come together. The old pink walls on my bathroom have changed into a deep green and a cream color. I've changed the lighting fixture over the vanity...
I've also changed all the light covers, the vent and ceiling fan. Now to get the new mirror on, put on the new towel bars and get the doors back on the vanity and it's a done deal, well if you're counting the door and door frame that's a future project. I've even painted out the baseboards, I love the way I've crossed colors, the cream walls have the green base and the green walls have the cream base. This next photo reminds me of one I posted some time ago... the under over question.
Next it's time to unpack the office/study and I'll post before and after photos of this room. What a difference a bit of TLC, a can or two of paint and a 12v DeWalt drill can make! :-)

Stylish!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm surprised that you prefer the toilet paper to dispense from under rather than over.
It says a lot about you -- I can't say what precisely what, but I'm sure it's profound.
Hello Darlin. I missed a lot of your post.
ReplyDeleteThe house is almost finish. This is exciting:).
Regards. Happy weekend.
I think you could have a nice side line as an interior decorator too if you had the time. Now put the power tool down and relax, have a bit of me, internet or book time. (Being bossy back ;-})

LL you are getting to know me through my blog, not only am I special, I am profound as well... I can be when I choose to be that is. :-)
ReplyDeleteRegina, I still have a lot of work to do but instead of only talking about it I'm going to post what I've done as I do it, this gives me incentive to a degree. It is extremely exciting to finally be in my own home after all these years, yup me, myself and I!
Si, I like to decorate, it's fun and the finished product is extremely rewarding. I could (if I was rich) hire someone to do all of this for me but then it's not a personal thing anymore. I love sitting back knowing that I have created my own surroundings, it's exactly what I want and that is satisfying to me. I also take my breaks, almost too many of them so never mind that you! lol
LL,a last minute thought... it might have something to do with being left handed and doing most things in life backwards... not too sure about that but it's my dispenser and I'll put the paper any old way I so choose. (Insert chuckle here)
ReplyDeleteA catalog works as well as a roll of TP when you're out on the farm, but there in your mini-castle, I think you have the paper wound properly.
ReplyDeleteWooohooo - Nice detailing ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreetz,
Joseph
LL if they continue to put the flyers in the mailbox I'll have to take them out to the farm for when times are tough.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joseph. Cheers!
The catalog is more traditional but this is 2010, so flyers are acceptable.
ReplyDeleteLL do they still even make catalogs? I thought that most shopping was done online, I haven't even seen a catalog in years now.
ReplyDeleteAs the saying goes - "you've come a long way, baby!"
ReplyDeleteNice work and it's got to be satisfying when it's your own place you're putting your stamp on!
Relaxin' has to be just around the corner ....
Thanks Rick, the work isn't really work until I'm fighting to stay awake to finish a wall! A rest is in the cards, somewhere in there.
