Where There's a Will, There's a Way

Today I found the coffee tables that I had in mind, the price was right but I had a concern how I was going to get them home. After looking at my car I figured that if I put the back seats down, angled the coffee table just the right way that this set would fit...as the saying goes "Where there's a will, there's a way" and now my new tables are sitting in my living room. The song "I Did It My Way" by Frank Sinatra just came to mind! :-)

  2. rlol, I would have loved to see a video of you sorting that one out. I bet that would have made a good Charlie Chaplin movie. At least you can now invite people around for coffee and don't forget to get the cup of sugar from next door ;-}

  3. That they are LL, so when you dropping by for a cup of coffee? I'll make some crumpets if I can ever figure out what in the heck crumpets are.

Si it was rather amusing, never a dull moment in my world! You are also welcome to come for a cuppa any ole time. I've noticed on one of your posts that you've been practicing your writing, very impressive... I'm just trying to remember which post that was. I'll find it one of these days, I might have commented on that but for some odd reason it doesn't seem that I did.

  4. LL I just googled crumpets and it appears that a crumpet is a fancy name for an English muffin, I'll stop off at a local bakery and pick some up. Well at least I've already learned something new today... glad that's outta the way, now I can get back to work.

  5. ooooh, really pretty! That's pretty much how I handle situations like this...where there's a will there's a way is too true, thank goodness!

How about a photo of them in their new home?

  6. Darlene, so glad to hear about your recent news!
When I furnished my flat, I was so surprised to realize how strong (physically, to bring heavy weights) woman I was. "My own burden is never heavy" they say in Russia:-)) I think these tables are only a start...

  7. Thanks Cheryl, photos of them will follow with before and after photos once I get the "after" done! :-)

Irina, I believe it's called determination. I know that if I want something badly enough that my determination will take over and I'll figure it out, muscles and all seem to cooperate when required. Now to go and see how to take off the light fixture in the bathroom to see how easy it is to replace without getting zapped! ;-) And you bet the tables are only a start, I believe that I have found a never ending project with buying this house, but I'm lovin' it!

  8. Nice job Darlene! Carpe diem, so to speak. Next we'll see a photo of you with your fridge tied down on the roof of your car ! ;-)

I remember our last move - we had filled our rented truck to capacity but there always seemed to be some odds and ends left over. Filled my pickup with that - higher than the roof, with everything tied down. Had to drive for 100km/60mi like that - looked just like Jed Clampett and the Beverly Hillbillies !! We still have a photo of it.

  9. I would hate to be sitting in the passenger seat. Hope your move went well. You'll have to keep us updated on your computer desk.

  10. Thanks Rick... I've had a freezer in the trunk of a car before, just an apartment size one but never a fridge YET! :-)

I had to laugh at your truck looking like Jed Clampett's, that's too funny! I'd like to see that photo, a possible post of the day one day?

  11. Chad you would have been safe in the passenger seat, I only stopped to fast once! lol I will keep you updated, I'll post a photo once the room is finished. I'm waiting for the one wall to dry right now so I can give it a second coat, it's coming right along.

  12. Hey that is funny :-) Yesterday, I was at IKEA with my friend who is moving and we saw a guy who had a Coupe (Toyota Celica)!

The interesting thing about his car was that the front seat was removed so that he can put a closet in his small car!

Human Beings are indeed creative :-D

    Greetz,
