Believe

"I believe in the sun
even when it is not shining

And I believe in love
even when there's no one there

And I believe in God
even when He is silent"

I love this old Irish saying and there's another one which keeps me going some days:

"If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can’t, you won’t."             By Tom Hess

I am rather pleased with the way my letters turned out and they look just like I'd imagined. I didn't want to hang something over the tv which would be a distraction to anyone watching tv yet I didn't want to leave this spot bare. And yes, in life I believe I can so I will. :-)

  2. I love this post. And I can sign under every word of it.
Do you know what I have written on the sticker near the monitor? "The world is big and generous. It has everything, which your soul and your body want. Be happy and take."

  4. Si, thank you. I find it inspirational as well as decorative, a dual purpose! :-)

Irina, thank you as well. That saying which you have posted is lovely although I also would add to that it to give. I find that in order for me to be happy taking I must give even if it is only thanks. This brings harmony and balance into my world and it's a beautiful place to reside. :-)

Thank you as well Lisa, have you ever sponge painted? You mix the paint the same way but instead of sponging it on what I did was first painted the letters, let the base coat dry, double coated it and then I added my final coat which is the glaze. While this last coat was still wet I scruntched up poly, then I opened it up and wrapped it around the letter and peeled it back off and I got this look which I really like. You can't find a better match color wise if you use the existing color(s) which you have used in your room already or spin off from your color scheme. And thanks for the heads up, I'll be careful not to purchase too many letters! :-)

Happy Sunday to each one of you!
