What to say about my poor flowers? I guess that sometimes it's best when I say nothing at all.... WAIT a minute, no way... I can't not say at least something here, you'll all think that I'm ill or somethings wrong! lol
So here it is, I was getting out of my car and couldn't help but notice these poor dying daisies, I think that they're daisies, yup they're daisies... (don't you just love google? It can validate that you know what you think you know but are too tired to be certain of it!) These poor little things are barely hanging in there but they're still here so they deserve a photo. For some reason they reminded me of "Flowers for Algernon", I don't know why... they just did.
They still look pretty healthy! I've got some dying flowers that I can show you! Love Flowers for Algernon, my students read it every year.
ReplyDeleteThey're reborn in the springtime.
ReplyDeleteThere's a message in that for us all.
According to LL's "Message Learnt": We should all go to sleep during winter and wake up in spring!
ReplyDeleteWait a sec, I am not a bear but I like salmon . . . Too confused now . . . Shall I go to sleep or not . . .
Greetz,
Joseph
With snow forecast this weekend I think my flowers are doomed. Glad you still have a few hanging on. Have a great fall.

ReplyDeleteAlways a beautiful flower, these daisies still look good! Enjoy your weekend Darlin!
ReplyDeletePam I'm thinking of giving that novel another read, it's been a few years. It just might be free on Kindle now, I'm going to have to check into that.
ReplyDeleteLL there is a message there for us all, especially those of us who will be facing -30 below, like Joseph says there, go into hibernation and start anew in the spring!
Joseph, ya go for it sleep, but just remember to wake up! lol
Chad shhhh, that's a nasty four letter word! I sure hope that there's no snow here anytime soon, I can do without having to drive in that nasty stuff. Well it's nasty when I have to drive a vehicle in it but get me out on the skidoo and I can tip that thing just as good, if not better, than the guys can. :-)
Thank you Shirleyanne, thus far the weekend is fantastic and it's just starting. I have wonderful plans for this weekend which I will share here once I actually do what I have planned. And a wonderful weekend to you as well!
i am definitely not ready for the flowers to disappear...
ReplyDeletehang in there little fellas!

Chas, I second that! Tonight it's a chilly one out there, no snow yet but that could change in the blink of an eye.
