Decisions

Today I shot a lot of photos and don't even know what I want to post. I have lots to talk about but no time to chat so I've decided to post random shots from my day and see how little I can say. Not that this makes any sense but what the heck... here goes nothing.

The morning drive... wished I had one of these Fords to get through the ice on the roads.

When I'll get a Ford truck is depicted on the name of this gift shop...

"When Pigs Fly"

In the meantime there's these monster machines clearing the snow so us little car people can get to where we're going.

Oh wait a second, the sign on the back says stay back 15 meters.. oops

And home safe and sound, I walked across the street to pick up a pizza for supper and noticed the beautiful sky

I love it when I can take photos off the memory card and not touch them and they show the true beauty I witness.

Another day in the life of this blessed student of life.

The end! :-)

  1. It sounds as if you had a day of exploration. That's always a good thing.

  2. Hello and what a fun day you had! The store When Pigs Fly looks quite interesting....great pictures all of them, especially the evening sky, very beautiful....hard to tell it's WINTER! and even the road crews looked good....looks like you have the same mess as we do! Our snow has stopped briefly cuz it's so darn cold....-18 degrees below zero right now! Brrrrrrr!

  3. Well, you kept it (relatively) brief Darlene ;-) Let the photos do the talking - nicely done. And the reward at the end of your day of slip slidin' around was that beautiful sky !

Spring is officially 2 months away ;-)

  4. LL, this is one of my "normal" days, I explore a lot. :-) I think that every day can be an exploration, it depends on an individuals viewpoint.

Karen brrr, that's cold alright. It does sound like we get the same kind of weather. Today though it was unbelievable, we had a bit of a break and it was 0! Darn near time to pull out the summer wear! lol You're lucky though, even when we hit -25 it was snowing like crazy, what's up with that I wonder? Crazy making I tell ya. Oh and that store, I'm sure you'd LOVE it in there. They have tons of awesome gift ideas, you know the sort of gifts that nobody needs but loves to get? Stay warm, get a good book and curl up is my suggestion. I'm going to go and read in a bit but not exactly a bed time story sort of a book. this one is "Community Mental Health in Canada"... yawn. We covered a lot of this in psyc. last year.

  5. Rick I'd say I love you but I don't think that your wife would appreciate that! lmao What fantastic news...only 2 more months!! Woooohooooo! I hope I don't scare you off, I'm kidding naturally but I'm that happy right now! There is light at the end of this tunnel of snow!

Thank you for your kind words, it was so nice to see that sky. I even went out to shovel without mitts on for the first time. More days like this would sure make winter bearable.

  6. It seems you stayed back at only 14.75 Meters, bad bad bad guuurrrl :-D
Reminds me of my last vacation, I also felt like having one of these Pick Ups to get from point A to whatever point . . .

    Greetz,

  7. I have a big Ford 4 wheel drive pickup but the tires are bad so instead of spinning 2 tires I just spin with all 4! :) I'd rather take my car out on the bad roads any day! The truck is just for camping and hauling stuff! :) It pretty much gets to relax all winter! :)

Your "stay back 15 meters" pair of pictures made me laugh out loud! I think some of my coworkers heard me and think I'm a little koo-koo now! :)

  8. Joseph with one of these trucks I think that one could get to almost any point they chose to. What a journey it'd be, get in, turn the key and go! Destination unknown and time not restricted.. I'm in! Pack up the camera and gear and gone... ya back to work here now! lol

Andy smart man to leave the Ford parked in the winter. I can just see you laughing at work, been there done that in a group where I really should be quiet, the university library for example and ya, it's funnier when people start to give you "the look", I have to leave then! If you want to give your coworkers a chuckle show them what you're laughing about, they'll either validate you're koo-koo or laugh along with you. :-)
