The snow is coming down and just not letting up at all here. It's crazy making! I just get the walks shoveled and I turn around and see that they need it again. Here's a few photos from today, you can see for yourself just how much snow we're getting.
This is my bench on my patio, there's no point in trying to keep the bench cleared, nobody is going to be using it until spring anyways.
I'm going to get all the Christmas decorations down this weekend, all except these ones in the front lawn. I refuse to dig these out again, if they have to wait until spring to come down, so be it!
I sure hope that it stops snowing soon, I'm going to have to get my stepladder out to keep adding to the mounds of snow that are out there now and we all know how good I am at opening up that step ladder...ouch it hurts just thinking about that night I got my fingers darn near crushed!
I'm running out of room to pile the snow, it's that bad.

One good thing about all this snow, the farmers should have plenty of moisture in the spring. That and I get to stay in my PJ's all day, I'm not crazy enough to go anywhere in this if I don't have to, well no place further than shoveling the walks.

They are calling for snow here tomorrow night! I just want enough to call off school!
ReplyDeleteWe had temps in the 60s on New Year's day! We accidentally left a window open all night! Ohio shouldn't get that warm but I am very glad we don't have your snow! I don't do any shoveling at home but I have a lot of walks to clear at work! I hate shoveling!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should take a blow dryer out and try to melt down those mounds by your walk to make room for the next round of shoveling! :)
Have fun!!
Kinda sounds like a record that's stuck (remember that ? before MP3s and CD players ?) - and I think it's playing "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ..." We had a bit here over the last few days and I even got to plow it with the David Brown ! Sure hope we get clear sailing on the way to Florida Monday morning - no fun driving for hours in the stuff.
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest-of-the-weekend !
I'm torn -- is this real snow or photoshop?
ReplyDeletehttp://symbolic-mirage.blogspot.com/2011/01/winter-in-socal.html
Gosh, unbelievable amount of snow Darlin!
ReplyDeleteAnd we think we've got it bad in UK when we just have a couple of inches!
Stay safe & warm!
I know you will think I am crazy but I wish I could be around that snow for a little while. I remember when I lived in Toronto every time I had to shovel the sidewalk I would have to go get a massage cause I would put my shoulder out.
ReplyDeleteAs a SoCalif resident I'm stumped about people complaining about snow and why they shovel it I'll never know.
ReplyDeleteReal simple solution: Dump some gasoline on it and torch it off.
@LL - Looks like we are near one another. Your Winter in SoCal posting is a hoot!
Pam, I hope you don't get as much as we've had here. I got up to yet more snow, time to go and get that shovel out AGAIN. Maybe it's natures way of helping me get my exercise after the extra holiday calories!
ReplyDeleteAndy good idea, until the puddles freeze and my skates are out at the farm so I wouldn't be able to get to my car! lol
LL, there's no time in my world to mess around in photoshop, I don't even know how to use that program YET. This is real, as real as the nose on your face, unless you've had a nose job done! lol
Rick, I hope that record wears out real soon, I want to get doing indoor projects and didn't have so much shoveling in my daytimer! The David Brown, I bet you miss that in Florida. :-) I miss the skidoo out at the farm but it's not looking like I'm going to get out there to use it until Spring break, if I'm lucky enough and the roads are good enough to get out there. I hope you have a safe journey back to the land of sun...and no snow.
ReplyDeleteShirleyanne, we're now up to a few feet, we got again last night! Sigh... more shoveling!
ReplyDeleteDavine, it's fun to be in this much snow for a while, then the novelty wears off, the weekend ends and I have to get out and drive in it. The next vehicle I purchase will be a 4x4, no more of these compact front wheel drive cars. I can get through the mess but generally I have a few mini heart attacks in doing so! lol I'm going to have to book in a massage as well, now I have the perfect excuse to!
prying, that would be hilarious to pour gasoline on the snow and burn down my house (you'd have to understand how things work in my world!) and when the cops come and question me I'll tell them that it was suggested to me on the internet. Their response... a one way ticket to the nut house! lol Either that or the snow would just fizzle and sizzle and put out the flame. Nope, the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking I'll stick to the shoveling. Thanks for the idea nonetheless. :-)
Wow, that's a lot of snow! I'm happy our snow finally disappeared after 2 months.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the first photo above, I thought there was a car underneath all that snow, but luckily, it was just a bench. I like the 2nd shot because the 2 trees at the back look like a man and woman. You might think 2 people were frozen out there ;)

I am feeling a tad housebound:(
Shovel away dear friend...at least we get out to do that;)
Drive safe too:)
Brrrrr! No thanks!!
ReplyDeleteM. k I've deleted you twice, and will try to add you again, I've done it before where I added the link and not clicked on follow and that didn't work, maybe this second time it will. And are you ever lucky, only two months of snow!
ReplyDeleteDawn, it's day two and confined to the house, yup cabin fever is setting in. I did get out to shovel five times in this past two days and got a bit more work done inside but I'm feeling like I NEED to get out and soon! Tomorrow's looking like a cold one though, maybe 3 days in a row inside... ugh!
David, my sentiments exactly!
Lithuania is exactly like that, I had a shovel in the car with me all the time, because you never know when you get stuck there . . . LOL But I liked it :-D
ReplyDeleteGreetz,
Joseph
Joseph, I'd probably like this too if I knew I could leave it behind! lol
ReplyDeletewow I think you have had everyones snow, not good for short people that ;-}
ReplyDeleteSi
Si, I say if it wants to keep snowing it can stay where it lands! I'm tired of shoveling and it's getting piled so high in the back that I can hardly reach up to add to the piles! Frustrating for sure, I don't think that it's going to snow much more now though, we've dove down into the frigid temperatures, it's -17c right now, with wind chills most likely around -25 and tonight it's supposed to go down to -32. Brrrrrr!
