Today I found myself registering for yet another course. I had to go to the Clinical Sciences Building at the University of Alberta Hospital to find out a wee bit more, like how to go about registering. First I had to find the office, that was interesting.
Thank goodness for signs such as this, I found my way and now I'm registered in a Master's level course and I'm an undergrad. How events in my life like this transpire is beyond me. I feel what is meant to be will happen, I just have to keep the faith, do the work and keep on believing.
The course ... "Spiritual Assessment in the Promotion of Health".

You are absolutely amazing! As hard as you are already working and you have the courage to go for more! I'm sure you're going to do great though!
ReplyDeleteHave an absolutely sensational day!!! :)
Thank you Andy. Here's how it's working... I have to take 8 non-social work electives in the arts and/or sciences as well as 12 social work courses to meet the requirements for this degree. I almost have 7 of my social work courses complete, and only 1 non social work. The two correspondence courses are non-social work and this one is as well. I hope to be going into my final year only needing 4 non-sw and 5 sw courses left. If I can squeeze in one more non-sw this summer that'd be awesome. That will leave me with a manageable schedule. One essay at a time and I'm going to get this degree! I hope you have an amazing day as well!
ReplyDeleteI tryed earlier to leave a comment but couldn't dont know why, blogger has been messed up lately. Don't worry you will come thru with flying colors! Blessings jane
ReplyDeleteThanks for your vote of confidence Jane. This course will be a challenge yet I want to understand how to incorporate spirituality into my practice. I believe that spirituality, in any form, can help those on a healing journey. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you...and inspired! I can't believe all you take on and how you continue to learn!!!!
ReplyDelete{Thank goodness for building maps;) I can hardly understand those let alone all the courses you're taking;)}
Have a wonderful weekend:)
Another course, blimely, you are going to be one very clever bunny at this rate. Did you know that women are meant to be better map readers than men, it must be turn I am always getting lost!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
Si
Of course you could have asked for directions...
ReplyDeleteI like maps personally, and would never ask for directions if I was lost -- but that seems to be a man thing.
One day - maybe - I will get lost and we can put it to the test.
I'm intrigued by the concept of spiritual assessment. You'll have to let me know what that looks like.
ReplyDeleteDarlin, how great for you!! I know you are proud for your accomplishments, and you should be!
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, you are a great inspiration. I am eager to get back to school once my son gets a little bit older. You can never learn too much!
Have a great weekend!
I am so proud of you!!! I agree with all of the above comments!!
ReplyDeleteDawn, thank you. To be honest I don't remember all I'm taking in but the way I view this educational journey is I know when I need to know something that I at least know where to start or hopefully all this info is tucked away in some memory bank I can tap into. I feel one on one social work comes from the heart, it's advocating for the clients is where the knowledge is required. One essay at a time and you bet I'll get to where I feel I should be! This weekend I have no motivation but will have to push through, keep on plugging away. I see a faint light at the end of the tunnel... I'm getting close and that part is exciting! I hope your having a fantastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteSi, I don't know if I'm a better map reader, I think that I just ask if I get lost most of the time if there's someone to ask! It's called humility! lol Cheers.
ReplyDeleteLL I would have asked for directions if someone was nearby but it seemed that the place was deserted. I'm not shy and will ask for directions, I'd rather do that then read a map which usually makes no sense. IF you ever get lost and you ask for directions, let me know how that goes for you k? ;-)
Galen, I will let you know how this goes or what I learn. Please remind me at the end of July if it slips my mind k?
ReplyDeleteAmanda, thank you. And good for you, I wish you all the best with going back to school, it's an adventure to say the least and wearing the cap and gown is such an amazing, rewarding feeling!
Pam, thank you. Your words mean a lot... as do everyone else's!
Wishing you all a fantastic Saturday!
