Willow

Today I met Willow, she's Michelle's cat (my daughter). When Michelle went to pick out a cat from the SPCA she shared with me that this cat picked her! When Willow left the SPCA she weighed about 2 1/2 pounds, today she's just over 5 pounds and looking healthy. She's such a cute cat, so adorable and lovable...great choice Willow, you have an amazing owner

  2. At five pounds is she full grown? Both of my cats weigh substantially more than that.

  5. Andy, I love Willow. She's such good company for my daughter. :-)

Kathy, I think that my daughters kitten might grow still, she's 6 months old and as I'm not a cat owner nor have been in years now I forget when they stop growing. I hope that this sweetie grows a wee bit more, she's cute but still quite small.

Irina, I'd love for Abbie and Willow to meet one day. I'm interested in seeing how they'd get along. I know that Abbie would want to play with the kitty, she did out at the farm but the farm kitten didn't want much to do with her! lol After about 4 days the farm cat and my dog were getting closer, the cat would allow Abbie to be in the same room. Cats rule the roost it seems.

    Ola, thank you.

Alan, thank you as well. I love cats, but my allergies make it tough to keep one. My dog is enough company for me, I love that puppy... even if she's not a puppy any more. ;-)

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

  7. Hey Joseph, there you are! Welcome back... where did you disappear to? Not that it's any of my business but I hope you took tons of photos wherever you were! lol

Abbie hasn't met Willow yet, I was at my daughters yesterday to spend some much needed time together. We received very sad news yesterday morning, my daughters Nona (grandmother) passed away in the wee hours of the morning so I wanted to be there for my precious daughter. It's so sad when people leave our lives permanently, until we cross that great divide ourselves yet it's such a blessing to have them in our lives when they are here with us. We were going to take Nona to the mountains in the middle of April, she loved the mountains. We booked in our accommodations on Friday night but it isn't meant to be that she was to come with us, she's now gone to be with her husband who passed on 11 months ago.

I hope to see a post again sometime soon, I love your photos!

    Cheers.

  8. Hi Darlene,

Very sad to hear about granny's passing, supporting your daughter is the best way to make her feel better about her precious loss :-/

    It was a work disappearance for a few days . . .
Let us know Abbie's opinion when she gets to meet Willow!

    Greetz,

  12. I love stories like this, animals are so easily forgotten yet they deserve so much more.

  13. I agree Si, and at least my girl is doing her part in helping out plus now she's got company! It's a win-win situation for both Michelle and Willow as far as I can see. :-) Cheers.

  18. Dawn, another reason I can't be around cats for long, I'm the same way. Blue in the sky makes an immense difference, not that I left my house today with all these studies but it was a beautiful feeling to look outdoors and yearn to be out. :-) I'm taking your advice and still haven't checked the forecast. I don't want to ruin my night, I'll check in the morning... maybe.

Pam, thank you. It's sad when someone leaves us but if we never had them in our life to begin with we wouldn't know the joy of loving them. The hardest part is to come yet, paying our last respects. When we can do this together it's comforting.
Michelle went and bought bling for her kitty, too bad I didn't get a better shot... the tag on her collar is pink with rhinestones and one single word on it "Willow". It's so cute! Have a great day/night Pam.

Karen it's funny how that happens. I think that it's awesome that my daughter chose to hold the runt of the litter and that's the moment that when Willow stole her heart. They have a ton of fun together for sure, my daughter even lets the cat sleep in her bed, my goodness! :-)

Jane, thank you. When Willow is jumping and chasing toys it's not so regal looking but tons of fun!

  19. I'm a HUGE cat lover! Willow is just precious...she looks like a little Eva. Eva is my daughter's cat who is going on twenty years old!

Despite my allergies, if we didn't travel so much (well, not so much this year), I'd have a sweet cat in a heartbeat. Probably two. :-)
