Today, after some much needed rest, I went out for a bit. The sun was attempting to shine but it didn't quite make it out and tonight it's pouring rain. I was going to cut my grass today, it really needs it badly, but that didn't happen. If this rain doesn't let up it's not going to happen tomorrow neither... poor Abbie will get lost in the backyard if I don't get the grass cut soon!
This is what it looked like, I've been told that there was maybe two days the sun was shining the whole time I was gone... I already miss Colorado's beautiful weather!

I know the feeling! I've been trying to get a few days of nice weather in a row so I can do the roof on the house. So far it hasn't happened!
ReplyDeleteFour years ago, while living in Texas, we went thru a drought that lasted 18 months. Going that long without rain did something to me. Now, I wouldn't mind if it rained every day.
ReplyDeleteWow! Talk about coming back to your homes true weather huh? Hopefully the sun will shine brightly for you. (:
ReplyDeleteAndy hopefully you'll get the opportunity to do the roof repairs sometime this summer, this rain can't last forever!
ReplyDeleteClint that's a long time to go through a drought, I can understand why you don't mind the rain. Mother Nature seems to have lost her sense of balance and I can see why. I'll just stop right there before I get on one of my rants. Have a great day Cliff!
Saz, yup, back home to the rain. It's overcast at the moment but if I wait an hour it might change... wishful thinking! :-)
Welcome home, Darlin.
ReplyDeleteThank you Horst, now it's time to hit the books! I might drop one class, that's yet to be determined though, it's do it now or do it when I'm out doing a practicum and one other course, decisions... decisions. Either way it's going to be a tough year so I'll have to sort this out by tonight! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWelcome happily home!
ReplyDeleteI read your adventures, but could not comment. Great clouds, great! After fired summer 2010 in Moscow, I am so happy we have rains and I love grey low clouds))
And answer to your question: I use Canon G10. It took me 1 year to read the manual (not every day, of course) but now I know all about this Japanese treasure.
And . . . Did it go away?

Welcome home - your posts have been so beautiful. It is why I loved living in Utah when we were over there - 275 days of sunshine - amazing isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHope you settle into home again soon.
Darlin, we've had our fair share of rain recently, but today enjoyable blazing weather Not nice to come back to!
ReplyDeleteHave an enjoyable week!
Weather! The one thing everyone can agree to disagree about! Ha!
ReplyDeleteAt least the weather wasn't beautiful the whole time you were gone :-0
ReplyDeleteYou sure were lucky for your great weather there, cuz it's been pretty much the same rainy and grass growing, stormy...thunder that makes the doggies hide and the house rock! Well the dogs crazy anyway! I managed to get just about an hour and half of mowing in...but that's just the beginning! Good luck with yours!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Home!! Today the weather was good...by the evening! Tomorrow should be great!
ReplyDeleteIriana that camera of yours is nice and clear, you take wonderful photos and I love seeing Moscow through your lens. I don't mind the rain clouds and rainy weather when my lawn doesn't need cutting!lol Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteJoseph that it did, but no time to mow the lawn today, in the morning I'm going to have to get right on that. I think my dog is currently lost in the tall grass in the backyard! lol Enjoy your week!
Beverly one thing I noticed is that I didn't see any gardens, it must be due to lack of moisture. I'd much rather have some rain and grow flowers and veggies, but the sunshine is so appreciated. I guess that's what planes are for, fly away to someplace sunny every now and again! lol Have a wonderful week, and me... well I'm heading back out tomorrow or the day after. I have to get to the farm to weed my garden before my course starts next week... it just never ends, or so it seems!
Shirelyanne I'm happy for you that you've got some sunshine, that sure feels awesome after the rain! I hope you have a fabulous weekend filled with plenty of sunshine!
Galen, I concur! lol Have a fantastic week!
Kathy that it was and I sure enjoyed every minute of it! Now back in reality, it was a very nice day, I hope the morning is equally as nice but time will tell! :-) Enjoy your week!
Karen the nice thing about living in my little gingerbread house is the small lawn, it's nice when it comes time to mow the lawn! :-) Enjoy the week and I hope you get the needed sunshine to finish up the lawn!
Flora thank you and I'm keeping my fingers crossed, that makes it hard to type! lol Have a wonderful week!
You can always return to Colorado -- unless you've worn out your welcome... we never did get an objective third party report on your partying in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteBittersweet return - nice to be home but the weather sucks. Welcome home !
ReplyDeleteWe finally saw the sun here for the first time since Thursday - lots of black clouds that threatened us each day but very little rain. C'èst la vie !
LL I left before I wore out my welcome... my momma didn't raise no dummies! ;-) And you will not be getting any third party objective report on my partying, I don't party because I've already done my share of that in my time. Even if I did party, do you think that I'd be foolish enough to admit to it? lol
ReplyDeleteRick so true and thank you. And you bet... such is life. Your shots tonight are magnificent, I love them and the song is very touching... now off I go to read for a while! :-) Take care and enjoy!
