Air Miles

There's a lot to be said about collecting Air Miles, here's a few of the rewards I received in the mail today at no charge.

Thanks to Air Miles I shouldn't get lost anymore... shouldn't being the key word!

I also got a handsfree for my cellphone. I don't get a lot of calls but when I do I'll no longer be fumbling to answer it while I'm driving. This is a good thing, effective September 1st it will be illegal to use a cell phone to either talk or text while driving. Finally a distracted while driving law has been passed, hopefully this will help people realize how important it is to keep their eyes on the road... myself included!

Now for the toaster to get here and my Air Miles Rewards order will be complete.

Yup, gotta love those Air Miles!

  1. Well, congratulations, I guess... I mean, I remember those times years ago when I collected thousand of miles and to be honest I finally realized I was missing my little family and decided to find another job.

Althoug in spanish airline Iberia you can use them to get some free flights, and I used them to have a travel with them from time to time, it was an effort form me to jump -again!!!- into the plane... and my little son shouted "my dad's on that plane" anytime he saw one while at the playground... kinda tough for a young father, isn't it?

However, good luck with the toaster!!!

    regards from Spain

  4. Si has a great idea! If they did blogging miles you'd probably be able to retire in luxury by now!! :)

I have been considering getting a GPS of some kind but I actually enjoy the challenge of finding my way around. There is nothing like getting lost and discovering some little out of the way spot that you would have never seen otherwise! :)

  5. I agree with the new law, but good luck enforcing it.

I piled up scads of frequent flyer miles when I was working. Cindy used them to fly all over the place to visit family. Saved us a ton of bucks.

  6. I don't think that I'd buy another car without an integral GPS. They are addicting.

  7. You've obviously done some SERIOUS traveling to be able to get all those goodies!

  8. Maguisan I can either collect rewards or I can turn the air miles into rewards, I chose to get things as I won't be able to even think of traveling for at least a year. That's awesome you were able to give up traveling and stay home with your family, the kids grow up way to fast especially if you don't see them very often. I'm sure the toaster will arrive shortly, I'm taking it out to the farm for my bf, he is in need of a new toaster but it's one of those things he doesn't think to buy. Have a great day!

Joseph I thought of you and I wasn't sure which one you said was better, WHEW, I picked right! lol Cheers!

Si blogging miles would be nice! LOL Cheers my friend!

Andy I don't have time in my life to be lost, I was lost for many years and it's time to smarten up! Figuratively and literally. ;-) I want to get from point A to point B in as little time as possible, that way I might be able to keep up to myself. I wonder if this will work on campus, the university I'm going to in a few short weeks is HUGE! I hope it does, that would save me tons of time. Have a great day and try not to get too lost. :-)

Clint there's so much talk already about the new law. One friend said he'd fight it if he ever got a ticket, after all the police use computers all the time when they're driving. I argued that this was different and wished him luck with his uphill battle. The police are going to be extremely busy, every second driver has a phone attached to their head it seems.

Like I said I'm glad that the law is coming into effect, it's how well they enforce it which will make a difference, if it makes a difference that is. The only close calls for me when I'm driving have involved others being on their phones and not paying any attention to their driving. That's awesome Cindy was able to fly for free a lot, Air Miles has been an amazing program, I've ordered things through them in the past and have always been pleased. Now I'm going to start saving for travel, I hope to have time to travel once this degree is obtained. Have a great day!

  9. LL my next vehicle I hope has one built in, if not I can use this. This way if anybody tells me where to go I'll enter it into my GPS and if it's not on there (I don't think that it's in Canada, the States or Mexico even though I've heard some horror stories about Mexico) I'll tell them I can't find how to get there! I can see how a GPS can be addicting, I've only ever used this once while I was in the States and I HAD to get one even though I'm really good with getting around in my city. The good thing is I didn't pay for it, nope, I didn't waste a single dime! :-) Enjoy your day.

Kathy I rarely have the time or opportunity to travel, my bf owns his own business and spends a lot of money on his credit card for this business, the air miles come from this method of collecting. He gives me his air miles in essence. The next time I use up his air miles you bet it's going to be on a trip somewhere, he doesn't even like to travel, a concept which I totally don't understand. Have a great day!

  14. Pearl it's worth checking into, find out what they offer and what your balance is for miles. With these Air Miles I've got it set up online that I can check at any given time what the balance is and decide what to do with them from there. Have a good night and all the best in finding out!
