My stepfather's wife Marg is turning 88 tomorrow, today my youngest sister had a BBQ to celebrate this special occasion. Marg is such a sweet lady, she's extremely active, in excellent health and ton of fun to be around. I hope I'm as active as she is when I'm her age.

ReplyDeleteAndy while we're young enough I'm thinking that to be in the health this wonderful lady is in that we need to start to look after our bodies before it's too late. Marg has never smoked, she drinks very little and watches her diet. I used to drink, cut way back on my smoking and am working on quitting, the diet is a must and I have to start to eat more, I don't eat enough is my problem and exercise is in my future plans... once this degree is out of the way. I love how in the studies they "teach" use self care, or "preach" self care but there's no time for it, double standards if you ask me! Such is life... have a great day!

ReplyDeleteRick I LOVE that quote by George Burns! To be Marg's age and still full of spunk, ya, I'd best start taking better care of myself after I get this degree. For some odd reason the universities don't think that students need to sleep, take time to eat healthy or have any type of a life! lol
