Well it's official, (it's after midnight here), it's the first day of Autumn and the trees are playing along and turning color. Don't you just love the earthy tones? The one thing I love about fall is the beautiful colors, that and people don't seem to be in quite so much of a rush. Summer is a fast season it seems, people are in a hurry to get to where they are going and go figure... to do nothing. Fall it's back to routine and not everyone is in such a rush to get to work or hit the books. Sure there's still rush hour traffic but there's not the idiots hurrying to get out to the lake or home to BBQ, it's time to chill out.
Ahhhh, Autumn, glorious colorful Autumn.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful fall image. It is crazy to think we are heading into spring here in New Zealand. Lucky for me our winter here was filled with flowers and greenery, (but still chilly and rainy.)

ReplyDeleteAndy I hear ya, now if winter was the same length as summer I wouldn't mind it quite so much but this November to sometimes May is way too long.
Saz I too love the evenings when it's starting to get nice and cool, not too cold but cool enough to start pulling out the comfy cozy quilts. It's such a pretty time of year.
Pam I also love this season... just not what it's preparing us for.
Karen I'm almost envious, almost but not quite. I'd miss my snow at Christmas but it can leave come January. I'd love to experience a winter season away, one where there's no snow and just a bit chilly, I can't even fathom that. I know I'd love the weather but miss close family.
Si one or two trees doesn't quite qualify for Autumn yet, you need ALL the trees turning and leaves falling like crazy! lol I can't wait til you get out as well, I'd love to see some pics.
Shirleyanne thank you. I love the colors three of the four seasons bring, I suppose even the snow and frost is magical in it's own way as well. What I especially love is winter around Christmas when the lights are all over decorating the city, now that's beautiful!
Wong I hope you can be out with your camera soon as well, I'll have to check but I thought as I glanced at the dashboard here that you've posted... now I have to go and check it out! Autumn is so lovely, raking leaves isn't too much of a chore and the cooler air is welcome, too bad Autumn didn't last longer though.
