Generally at this time of year when I go out shopping it's for things like winter gloves, boots, scarves... you know the regular winter gear...well not today. I went out shopping when I dropped off my daughters car, she was busy and there's a shoe store really close to where she works so I went to check it out.
It was so odd looking for sandals in November but I figured why not... I'm starting to prepare for Australia, why not start with new sandals?
Bare Traps my favourite brand - wonderful shoes - you will get lots of use out of those down under.

ReplyDeleteI resisted wearing sandals for many years - especially in Alberta where I found western boots were comfy almost all year round. But I made the switch for Florida last year (although I still wore my western boots on the trip down here) and now they're standard footwear. Enjoy them down under.
ReplyDeleteKinda nice driving another car sometimes, isn't it. A little luxury now and then feels mighty fine. Sure hope that cold and snow get postponed for you for a little while longer, and your weekend stays sunny - have a great one !

Cheryl thank you, they seem to be extremely comfortable. I have one problem, trying to decide how to dress to get on the plane in January, I guess layers and peel a few before I get on the plane. Once I book my flight I'll have to see where I'm switching planes and dress in appropriate clothing, but be ready for scorching heat when I land. This could get very interesting.
Rick, that's a must in hot weather, sandals that is. Please tell me you're not wearing socks in your sandals, not even on chilly days, then switch back to the boots. I agree that c'boy boots are extremely comfortable, I don't know why I don't wear mine more often. Oh, I'll get a chance to on Nov. 11th, CFR is on and my friend invited me. I''m going to be in c'boy heaven for an afternoon! It is sure nice to drive another vehicle sometimes, it's a bit intimidating when it was my daughters car though, her first newer car and I sure didn't want to have anything happen to it, but I was cautious and all is well in our world. So far, knock on wood, it's only frosty. I hope this lasts for another month or so, until I'm done in class but that's asking for a lot and I realize this, for today I'll be grateful we can still see the pavement. Enjoy your day!
Irina I'm not so sure that I could do a sexy swimsuit justice so I'll stick with the one piece but it's coming with me. With that much coastline surrounding Australia you bet I'll be visiting the beaches!
