One Step

It's cold enough now and there's enough snow that I've put away the Reebok's and traded them for my mukluks. I love my mukluks, they keep my feet nice and toasty warm, well unless I get them wet that is.

One Step Towards the Future.

One happy note...I've just finished one of my major essays, I've got a few more of them to knock off, a few more presentations and a few exams and that's it! Now to get from here to there, I will and when I do... hmmm what will I do? Oh right, go away for 5 months then get a job when I get back, an actual job after 5 years of studies, I can't even imagine that.

  1. It was warm enough here last night that we had a thunderstorm! We even had a tornado warning! I'm afraid this warm spell is the calm before the storm though! :)

  4. Andy I don't want to hear that! lol

Ola yes, this was taken when I was leaving class yesterday. We had a snow storm on Monday and our winter is officially here unfortunately.

Dawn the old Strathcona's farmers market is where I came across these, if you're ever in the city on a Saturday drop in to the farmers market, it's open til 3 I do believe. You'll come away from there with more than just mukluks I'd bet. And hard work, you bet this is but it's totally going to be worth it, I hope. :-)

  6. It's the five years of study that make for quite a memory....you should be very proud of yourself...I am so envious that you will get to spend your winter months away from it! Hmmm what could I do to change my work/life to be OUT of the winter that lies ahead!!!! LOL

  7. Darlene, in Australia we have something similar called "Ugg" boots, they are sheep skin and are fantastic - you will have to get yourself a pair when you are down-under.
Hope it isn't too cold too soon. We had 38 degrees on the patio two days ago - so our weather has swopped.
Good Luck with the rest of the essays, exams & presentations.

  8. I love your mukluks too...warm feet is a wonderful thing in cold weather! Sounds like you have things under control, with essays and going away and finding a job. Sounds like you've well earned some time away!

  10. Thanks everyone for stopping in and for the comments.

Beverly the kids, some adults too, wear UGGS here. They're really expensive, I'm not sure how much they'd be down there but if there's a huge price difference I just might have to bring me back a pair. There's some pretty cool ones that I've seen.

Flora you know how to make mukluks? I sooo want to learn one day when time permits!

    Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
