I know I've had a lot of down time, it's been an amazing journey thus far but there's going to come a time when I'll be making up for all this time, time well wasted I like to think of it as. Today was no exception, I spent a day doing things for myself. First it was off to the beauty salon...
Retro Hair & Beauty is where I booked my appointment in
What was so retro about it? Well this photo says a lot; they actually use the old style hair dryers which I haven't seen in quite some time. I felt like an alien, but thankfully I didn't come out of the shop with a beehive.
I also booked in a few more flights today, one to Melbourne and the other to Brisbane.
I'll leave on May 8th and be back in
Adelaide on May 16th, in time to wrap up my stay here and tie up any
loose ends... or take a few more strolls down the beach before I fly
back to Canada on June 1st.
Where does the time slip way on us?

Me days are very important! They're allowed.
ReplyDeleteRed thank you, I couldn't agree more! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend, cheers.
DeleteYou want to know what's so cool about your me days? Is that you share these awesome views with us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this smile Karen, as you can well see I have fun in most everything I do... I've decided that life's too short not to! :-) Cheers.
DeleteLove the hairdryer shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam, it was a quick P&S moment, trying not to get caught taking my own photo but as it was the hairdresser looked at me funny and I didn't even bother trying to explain this one away! lol
DeleteCheers.
Love that wind blown look in the hair dryer. If you don't have any Me days on your trip them it will not be that memorable. You are doing the right thing, enjoying life and the trip.
ReplyDeleteHorst thank you. I am definitely having the time of my life, this has been one adventure after the other... speaking of which it's just about time to get outdoors and take some shots for the day! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend, cheers.
DeleteFirst off (before I forget) - love that header !
ReplyDeleteLove that space cowboy look btw - you look like you're ready to step into the space shuttle ;-)
Again it's my pleasure to catch up with you on your trip of a (so far) lifetime. Fantastic Sunset Sunday shots and Port Noarlunga looks like a fabulous place to visit - beautiful colours on those rocks. And so many more.
I hope you've got a really big hard drive (and backups !) to store all those shots. You'll have plenty for the next year of blogging !
Can't believe you're down to your last 5 weeks, but you must be part Aussie by now ;-)
I'll be out of circulation for a little while as we travel back home and (hopefully) get a much better internet service installed (I've been spoiled with a 25 mbps service here down south - I'd be happy with 3 mbps back home).
Keep on enjoying, Darlene, and have a terrific weekend !
Rick thank you, this header I'm going to print and frame, it's such a simple picture but it touched something in me.
DeleteHmmmm a space shuttle, got to find me one of them, I'll try almost anything once! lol
There is so much to see and do here, I've fallen head over heels in love with this place. I'm going to be leaving a piece of my heart here so that I have to come back and reclaim it, that or when my number is up at least a piece of me will be in a place I've fallen in true love with! ;-) I've got so many photos, I've deleted tons of them and tried to keep only the best ones, but there's still so many best ones! lol And heavy sigh... yes 5 more weeks and the days are just zooming by, but it's only 5 more weeks til I return to those I love back home.
"Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long"... hey, there's a good blog idea!
Have a safe trip home, and that's awesome you're getting better internet service back home, as I mentioned in my comment on your blog, the speed it was going you could have all the cows milked by the time one set of photos was uploaded to your blog! You have patience my friend, tons of patience.
Take care and God bless you and your loved ones.
It's awesome hearing from you again. Cheers.
Keep on running with lots of FUN and Joy for the YOU-days!!
ReplyDeleteMany Greetings ♥♥♥♥
Monika thank you and after all of my "me" days I don't know how I'm going to readjust back home... I'll worry about this when I get there though, I don't want to worry about something which isn't even here yet! Cheers.
DeleteTime well wasted is time not wasted. Seems every blog I visit this evening is about "me time", which is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteJoyce that's fantastic there's a lot of people who are embracing "me" time, it's not only good for the spirit, it's good for the mind and soul as well. I hope you're having an amazing weekend with a bit of "me" time incorporated in to it! Cheers.
DeleteYou and hairdryer go very funny together!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every day, like a process, do not care about the result.
Thank you Irina, life is amazing isn't it? Funny looking hairdryer and all! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic week!
