Two more sleeps and I'm on my way home! With it getting this close to leaving I'm finishing up my packing and today I gave in and mailed a few things back home. One box, not even that big, cost me $95 AUD. Ouch!
Not only did this lighten my overweight suitcase, it lightened my wallet... but I'm not going home overweight!

Yep, you are definitely lighter!!
ReplyDeletePam a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do! lol Have an awesome weekend!
DeleteTwo days is a lot of time to add on some weight !

Kathy, now it's down to one! Thank you and I hope you have an awesome weekend, I'm not sure when I'll be back on Blogland after tonight, but I'm pretty sure within a few days after I arrive at home. I shall return and share my journey home after I'm balanced.
DeleteCheers.
Have a great trip home!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bev, it's finally here, or already here almost... one more sleep and I'm headed for home. I think the reality of this is just starting to set in, I'm so glad to be heading home to the people I love, and the things I'm accustomed to but I'll return here one day, that much I know! :-) Have a wonderful weekend, tty from Canada next!
DeleteYou'll have to find a friend who's going back light. Look for some guy as they travel light!
ReplyDeleteRed are you suggesting I go hang out at the airport my final day in Australia and look for single guys headed for Canada? I can just picture me doing something like that... but I'll try to control myself and not buy anything else! lol Have an awesome weekend, I'll chat with you again soon... from Canada that is. :-)
DeleteSo glad you managed to sort out the weight issue. Enjoy your last couple of days.
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverly and thank you for the light gift, I've got both your book and the gift from your Mom tucked away, they are nice and light and easy to transport... I can tell you're both used to traveling! All the best with your new book, I'm looking forward to hearing the good news. Thanks again for your hospitality, I had such a good time spending time with you and your family... take care and I'll chat with you again soon, from the other side of the world. :-)
DeleteYou can buy something else dear Darlin!!!!
ReplyDeleteCiao from Italy.
Erika
Erika noooo, I can't buy anything else, I'm carrying a full load as it is and I don't want to pay another small fortune to mail anything back home. I have my photos and my memories, they're strong enough to bring me back to Australia one day! Hugs from Australia, one final hug from here! :-) Cheers.
DeleteBit of a catch 22 situation isn't it? Have a safe trip home. Luuuvv that flag.
ReplyDeleteIt sure was Davine, but after today I'm so glad to be home!
DeleteAre you looking forward to going home? What is the first thing you want to do...after sleeping of course!? Cute koala!
ReplyDeleteThank you Galen, and the first thing I didn't want to have to do has been done! lol Now I want to finish unpacking, then tend to the outside, plant a few flowers, pull the ones which never survived and spend more time with family and catching up with friends... then I'll get to work on the two courses I have left to get this degree! Yup all in good time it's going to all come together! Have a wonderful week, I'll be by sometime this week to visit.
