See You Later

Today was my final day in Australia, it's been an amazing journey; one which I'll treasure for many years to come. I went back to where I first began, Glenelg Beach

I smiled when I seen this knowing I'd be on the plane today which will take me back to my loved ones.

Just because I could I wrote in the sand...

(Hard to believe I've earned a degree and can't even spell Australia in the sand! lol)

Thank you Australia for the good times, the laughter, the new-found friendships and the tears, but ...

I'll be posting next from home in Canada, thank you all for coming along on this journey of a lifetime... it's been fun and we will be back one day, see you later!

Cheers from Adelaide South Australia!

  4. Now that it's over I realize I should have been following a map.
Have a good trip home. Alberta is at it's best in June.

    1. Red if you want to take a look at a map first I landed in Auckland NZ, but only seen the airport there so that doesn't really count, then I was in Adelaide, then it was off to Alice Springs, from there I went to Pukatja (aka Ernabella) and I traveled around the countryside there through various communities. I went to Uluru and the Ogers (sp?), then traveled back to Adeialde through Cooper Pedy. My next adventures were to fly to Melbourne, then I went to stay in Balarat and visited Dalesford, then it was on to Brisbane and the name isn't coming to me where I stayed there but it's outside of Brisbane.. then back to Adelaide and home. I also did a lot in Adelaide and the surrounding area. WOW, I did a lot in 4 1/2 months! I did have a good flight home thank you, it's awesome being home and here it is 3:30am and I'm wide awake so now it's going to take some getting used to our schedules! lol Enjoy your Sunday!

  6. Goodbye, I'm glad you fell in love with my country. I also love your country too but not the cold winters. You are welcome back and maybe you will visit us in the north.

    1. Diane I don't like our cold winters anymore neither, maybe the thing to do is visit Australia in January, after Christmas and stay for a few months, that way I'd miss the worst of our winters. Now to find a job that will allow me to do so and I'll be one happy camper! Cheers!

    1. It was a challenging post to put together Irina, I wasn't sure how to close off my trip but I'm happy with this. I spoke from my heart and I know I'll return one day to this amazing country, I'm just not so sure when that day might be! :-0

      Cheers. Have a wonderful week!
