Yesterday I went down to a place which was once all swamp, you'd never know it from the way it looks now... it's beautiful! This was shot at West Lakes in Adelaide, South Australia.
We strolled along the lake until dusk; bet you can see where I'm going with this! Yup, this brings me to Sunset Sunday which has been inspired by Scott.
(This photo of the sunset is much better enlarged, just click on it and you'll see what I mean.)

Watching the sun go down is amazing, it gives me time to reflect upon my day and think of all I have to be grateful for... when I put my camera down that is,which I actually do.

What a beautiful place and the sunset is so peaceful. Thanks for joining in on Sunset Sunday.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Scott. I'm grateful you started up Sunset Sunday and somehow I linked up with you. I intentionally look for sunsets now, in the past if I happened to be out and saw one, great, whereas today I have developed a real appreciation for the sunset, one which as I mentioned, I go out of my way to find.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
I miss sunrises and sunsets where I live. Thanks for sending a good one my way.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome Red, I hope to see a few more good sunsets while I'm here. I'm off tomorrow on yet another adventure, I hope to be blogging still but I'm not sure if I'll get to this site or not, if not I'll catch up when I return.
DeleteCheers.
Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBev, Australia is an amazing place to be; rich blue skies, the deep blue ocean, brilliant colored flowers, and the list goes on and on. I'm going to miss this place when it's time to pack up and head home, but the beauty will linger on in memory and in photos. Have a wonderful week!
DeleteI share the sentiment !
ReplyDeleteWong we sure are blessed! Enjoy your week.
DeleteYou caught a lovely view for both! That blue sky is so rich looking !
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, there's so much beauty here which I shall miss, but there's also beauty back home, I just have to look a wee bit harder to find it. :-)
DeleteHi there - nice sunset shot.
ReplyDeleteI think if you eat the mushrooms in my picture your experience would be more medical than magical!
Cheers - Stewart M - Australia
Thank you Stewart, and I'll pass on the mushrooms thank you... I'm not wanting to spend time in the hospital, I've got places to go and people to see! :-)

Deletelove the sunset photo! I've been putting down my camera a lot recently! I discovered that sometimes I was so busy taking photos...I was missing everything else that was happening around me!
ReplyDeleteTheanne early in my photo taking days I learned a valuable lesson; I was trying to get a good shot of some fireworks, before I knew it I hadn't appreciated the show, nor had I captured a good shot... double whammy! lol But awesome life lesson!
DeleteBeautiful soft light, Darlene; love those rays !
ReplyDeleteAnd what great shots of Alyssa - I can't believe how much she's grown. 17 before you know it !! I'll bet the 2 of you are going to have some kind of reunion ! How many more sleeps ? ;-)
Have a wonderful week !
Rick Elyssa is still going to be my baby girl even when she turns 17! lol
DeleteYikes, 20 more sleeps til I get on that plane and head for home Rick, only 20! I'm totally looking forward to seeing my precious granddaughter and giving her Grammy hugs and kisses, if she'll let me that is. ;-) .... so more sleeps, I'd best get out there and have more fun. Cheers.
Yes, my dear Darlin.
ReplyDeletePut down the camera and watch the nature.
Face to face..
Wish you a great week, full of dreams come true!!
Monika I love nature too much not to enjoy it, the photos are the bonus to remind me of my times here and the fun I've had when I get home. I don't want think that my memory is enhancing this experience, I want to know this is exactly the way it was for me. I do put down my camera, I inhale the ocean air and I dance in the water, I LOVE each and every moment I'm out in nature!
DeleteCheers.
