My children hosted a grad party for me, it was an amazing event! They had been planning this event for a long time now and surprised me with so many different things. The party was held at Fort Edmonton Park, once I arrived I had to catch a train to the party...
I arrived and I was pleasantly surprised, the room they chose, the decorations, the food, everything was phenomenal!
The children played and had a blast
I don't know how many grandchildren get to attend their "Grammy's" grad party, but I'm so grateful to have such a beautiful granddaughter who was there in full swing.
My children are amazing, they'd been planning this party for over a year I've learned and they really outdid themselves. From right to left:
Derek my middle child, Elyssa my beautiful granddaughter, her Daddy Shayne (my oldest son), his beautiful wife Sandy, my daughter Michelle and me.
As the party was winding down we left the loft and went to explore, downstairs from where we were there were some amazing old modes of transportation... a fence and a dress didn't stop me!
Thank you Shayne, Sandy, Derek, Michelle and Elyssa for hosting a party I will treasure for years to come!
... now maybe, a small maybe, the Masters degree? Well once I get these final two courses out of the way that is. I'll convocate in November, with the trip to Australia I didn't quite do things as planned but as is said sometimes the best plans are no plans.

Congratulations! Sometimes when a young person like you gets a degree it's much sweeter.
ReplyDeleteGo for the grad degree. I am disappointed that I didn't go for it.
Thank you Red, I'm definitely considering it, after all what do I have to lose? Have an awesome afternoon!

Thank you Joseph, I am blessed, totally 100% blessed to be surrounded by so much love and beautiful people in my life. The 'real passport' is in the works still, 2 more courses to wrap up and it's a done deal. I was going to have these done by the time I got back from Australia but I was in Australia! I realized once I got there that I could have left the books at home! I've read mostly all the materials, now to focus and write the final few papers. They'll get written soon, how soon I'm not totally sure yet! lol
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend, cheers!

ReplyDeleteThank you Karen, it's sure been a grueling four, nope, five years... I almost forgot to add in the year I had to spend doing some upgrading to get into this. It's funny how fast the time flew by, when I started this journey I thought 5 years would last forever and here it is coming to a close!
DeleteIt DOES sound amazing!
ReplyDeleteKathy I'm so blessed, I am surrounded by so much love from amazing people!
DeleteDarlene you look stunning and your family is beautiful - what a gift they have given you. But, then you deserve every acolade.
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverly. I finally got to wear this dress I'd forgotten I bought for my grad! I'd bought another one in Australia, but then remembered I had this one I bought in the States last year and I'd put it away especially for when I graduated. I never knew about this party back then, but was going to wear it to my actual grad. Now that's going to be in November, that's the next convocation date so I'll have to go out shopping for a winter dress or at least a winter outfit.
DeleteHave an awesome weekend Beverly!
Congratulations! You are beaming and your children and the adorable Elyssa must be so very proud! Really love the message in your blog! You believe it and are living it...
