Canada Day

In honor of Canada Day...

Love your country.  Your country is the land where your parents sleep, where is spoken that language in which the chosen of your heart, blushing, whispered the first word of love; it is the home that God has given you that by striving to perfect yourselves therein you may prepare to ascend to him.
 ~Giuseppe Mazzini

He loves his country best who strives to make it best.
 ~Robert G. Ingersoll

And here is a quote which I find appropriate for fireworks, after all I'm in redneck country!

You may be a redneck if...your lifetime goal is to won a fireworks stand.
Jeff Foxworthy

With a lightshow like I saw tonight, why not a fireworks stand?

I've posted this photo in Photo Extract.com, if you like it please take a gander over and say so. Thanks, here's the link.

  1. Absolutely true words . . .

    I always tell people:

"If a native does not learn how to love his country and show it, then how does he expect a foreigner to love it? - Love your country, it is how you will make the others love it as well!"

    Happy Canada Day, Darlene :-)))

    Greetz,

    Joseph

Canada Day was fantastic, the only thing we did was go to the fireworks but the rest of the day was totally enjoyable spending it any old way I chose to... and no not writing! lol

I hope you also had an excellent holiday and a fantastic celebration, it sure seems like a Sunday tonight with today being a holiday.

I'll venture over and see what you've been up to and I'm sure you've got some stunning photos posted.

      Cheers! Have a wonderful week.

    1. Karen I hope you had a wonderful celebration. I'll check for photos once I'm home and have a better internet connection. Large photos or more than one photo take forever to download here so I won't be visiting blogs til next week.

      Have a great day! Cheers.
