Bloody Hell... this can't be legal, can It?

I am really really choked right about now, there's this new company called 

FEEDSPOT

who has taken my blog from here and posted it on their site.

 I am NOT impressed by any means and 

want all of you to be warned this could happen to you. 

This can't be legal can it? How can I sue this company 

for stealing my work? I'm sure not a happy camper, 

not by any means and now just when I was going

to crawl into bed I have to get my camera out and take

some better quality photos to have proof that this company

used my work without my consent. 

Damn I detest when something like this happens, 

I feel totally violated. 

So be warned, I was made aware of this via email, but

hey the first year is free... seriously? Like really? 

I thought my blog was copyrighted and you bet it is
I just checked at the bottom of my blog and here it is...
Anyone know any good copyright infringement lawyers?

'Visiting'

I've been thinking about this, when I was young

if I wanted to see someone I would either walk, 

beg my Mom for a ride, or find a way to go and 

visit. Today I turn on my computer...

Progress? 

I think not. 

I by far prefer pre-computer days, 

for visiting this is, for studies it's another

story. Today with all these ways ofcommunicating 

nobody is talking anymore. Even cell phones, it's a quick

text message. Is it any wonder I'll never have to worry

about my future work becoming obsolete, I feel with the

way of the world today that we're going to be seeing a

continued increase in helping professions, not a decrease

unfortunately. So next time I'll call and just say... put the 

kettle on, I'm coming over for a visit. Easier said than

done as I too now subscribe to our new ways of 

communicating. Sad but true. 

One Down...

What a beautiful day today has been, 

even an awesome day for studies...

I decided to move the studies outdoors, 

we're not going to have many more of these types

of days so I may as well enjoy them while I can.  

Without my computer distracting me...

I was able to submit a response to one article, respond to

another, so one down and one to go... then about

ten chapters to read and then I'm good

to start it all over again. 

Yup life is awesome! 

Tis The Season

It seems no matter where I go, especially if I know it's going to involve 

waiting there's a textbook with me.  Today routine tests, long wait...

... but not long enough, I was just getting to the good stuff,

the stuff I want to learn, when my name was called. 

Yup, tis the season to be toting text books and/or journal

articles and try to read whenever I can. I seem to

procrastinate at home, so maybe I need to make

more appointments, go on long bus rides or just

buckle down and get off my computer and into

the books. I'll sort all through this... probably in two

years when I'm receiving my degree! :-) 

Perseverance

The Good News First

The good news, I'm done my first course! I've submitted the final essay 

and can see my desk again (I'm not going to show you the floor surrounding 

my desk yet though, that can wait). I have a bit more tidying, dusting and such

but at least I see the desk! 

The bad news...

Yesterday morning I get in my car, drive out the back alley and something

didn't seem quite right, I stopped, checked it out and sure enough I had 

a flat tire... I only had a half hour to get to class. Thankfully my son came and 

picked me up, he also took my tire in and today all is well once again. 

These stupid little tires, I don't trust them at all and didn't 

drive anywhere until my tire was replaced today. I had to buy

a new tire, the other one I must have totally

wrecked it by driving a short distance on it. 

More bad news... 

My daughter-in-law was driving along last weekend,

doing the posted 60km / hour and out of the blue a tree lands on

the back of her car. 

Seriously what are the chances of this? I just thank

God the tree didn't come down a split second sooner

and take out the front of the car. The car has since been

written off and hopefully my son and his wife have 

lined up another car today. I can't even imagine

something like this happening, it's unreal and the

city will more than likely be the ones picking up this bill as

the tree was on city property. 

My cold has almost run it's course, thankfully and 

my energy level is increasing... I was even dancing with 

Elyssa today and we had us some fun! 

Wishing you all a wonderful week, hopefully I'm

back in action and back with my regular scheduled program

which includes blogging.  I have a ton of reading to get through

but I miss all of you so I'll see how it goes... one paper at a time, 

I will earn this Masters degree! 

Write On

I was startled by my doorbell just a few minutes ago, I was so immersed

in research and writing that it jolted me into the present.  I went to the door

and there this was...

I order ink for my printer online, it's a fraction of the cost

they sell it for in the stores, even with S&H it's much cheaper. 

Now I can write on! 

(I apologize for not visiting your blogs, I will

make it over when I catch up to this insurmountable

amount of writing and reading.... see you all

in two years! lol)

A Welcomed Visitor

My wee princess came to spend time with me again on Saturday night, 

I'm always so glad when she comes over, mostly we just play it by ear

what we're going to do. This time around we made some

jewelry...

I taught my granddaughter the importance of thimbles

when using a needle, she sort of grasped this concept...

Later when we were having raspberries, she put one on

each of her fingers and told me "Just like a thimble Grammy!"

I learned what an awesome helper she is in the kitchen, 
yummy chicken fingers...

It was a perfect way to take a break from these studies, 

now it's time to buckle down and see if I can get 

back into this... I'm just not feeling the studies

this term, I don't know if it's this lingering cold,

not enough courses or what it is but I sure hope

this passes quickly! 

On the Mend

I finally am starting to feel like this nasty cold is letting up, but cold or no 

cold I've still managed to accomplish a few things. 

Tuesday I drug myself into that shower, got dressed

and went to see Don Williams. I was thoroughly impressed 

with Don (like I know him now) and his band,

 they can still sing and pick those g'tars. 

The photos I shot, well they didn't turn out, I'll show you

what I mean... Don Williams looks like a ghost under

those lights and trying to get a good shot with my phone camera

was impossible. 

This is so sweet I thought I'd share it as well;

My middle son seen something I'd posted on facebook, 

he asked me if I would like him to bring me some soup, 

I gladly accepted. Not only did I get soup, I also 

got some feel better soon flowers, so sweet and thoughtful. 

And today, I'm not 100% but I'm on the mend so it was time to

get a few things accomplished around my home. I'm steam cleaning the area

rugs, might as well give the windows a wash and under the chesterfield 

a good clean as well. It was so hot today that only half of the work

I would have liked to do got done, there's always tomorrow. 

I also managed to sand off the door trim and repainted it, 

this is something I've been meaning to get to all summer

long, summer just wasn't quite long enough. I'd

best take advantage of these beautiful days we're having, 

all too soon they'll be gone.  

From the looks of this photo I'll probably have to give this a

second coat tomorrow. Oh well, I'll push that essay forward another

day, I still have a week. Ya, so that's about all I've been up to,

not a whole lot, but a whole lot... if that makes much sense.

and high temperatures, it's amazingly beautiful for

this time of year! 

Busy as a Bee

I was so busy last week, it seemed my head barely touched my pillow and it was time to get back up and head down to the university. If I wasn't in class, I was reading, if I wasn't doing either of those I was writing BUT the good news is I only have one paper left and that's my first course done! 

Towards the end of the week the days seemed to get longer, 

but the reward at the end of the school week, which ended on 

Saturday, was a family Picnic in the Park. I was wiped,

totally exhausted, until I spied this wee girl...

Grammy will you play with me? You bet I did! 

The love, support and joy of family... well there's just nothing

like it in this whole wide world. 

This is those of us who could make it this year, hopefully

this new picnic in the park will grow year by year. 

The more the merrier. 

As the day was drawing to a close I snapped one

final shot before I headed to my car in search of

my bed...

The stunning sunset was so beautiful I returned last night

to capture yet another one...

And today I wake up with a blasted chest cold, 

seriously, what the heck did this have to 

happen for? I'm finally out of jail, just on

probation until I get that paper turned in! 

Ahhh but it feels so good to be back on this journey

of 1000 essays, in no time at all I hope to have this 

completed and if the days keep going as fast

as they have been, it really will be in no time at all. 

Awesome Austin Update

I interrupt my time away from blogging to bring you an Awesome Austin update. Austin is doing miraculously well, he was for testing last week and here's Austin's Mothers words: 

"No rejection, praise God! Austin is home and doing great!"

Saturday after class I headed over to a public park where 

the family was gathered for a picnic. I asked Awesome Austin

if I could take his photo to share with everyone on my blog, he smiled

and nodded. I also asked him if he remembered the Prayer

Map I made for him and he smiled from ear to ear, he remembers it.

I told him that I want to update everyone on my blog and let

everyone know how well he is doing, he's all good with this.

To those who have offered a prayer,

an encouraging word, or who have been

following Austin's progress, thank you;

he is doing phenomenally well! His marshmallow

was so big I don't think that he even finished it. :-)

Burning the Midnight Oil

The first day back in university and I'm already burning the midnight oil, literally. 

Assignment one is now out of the way... bring it on lets see what a 

block week course entails at the Masters level. I like to think I'm 

ready for this but have this feeling it's going to be an exhausting

week, good thing I'm going into this well rested. You see there was

a method to my madness, spending a week in the 

country to get rested up and ready for what lies in front of me. 

Theoretically I should be able to function on about 5 hours of sleep a

night, that's how much sleep I banked up... realistically, just don't ask me how

I'm feeling come Sunday, I'll be sleeping! 

Randomness

I've decided to share some random shots from my week out of the city

... where to begin? 

I'll start in the pumpkin patch... who might be hiding in there? 

It's my cousins wife, Angele! She is such an amazing lady who

I love spending time with when I'm back home; she's fun, funny, 

a hard working lady who is energetic and real, 

there's no airs about her.

I shot a lot of scenery shots out in the country, I was

immersed in beauty. The fog only added to the sunrise

this particular morning, it was an ahhhh moment in time.

And what is a sunrise without sharing a sunset? 

The horses are as gorgeous as ever...

A 'just because' shot...

Mushrooms; I wasn't sure if these are edible or not,

so I chose the or not and only snapped a few shots...

As my dear friend Jack demonstrates, here's what one can do 

when out in the country and there's no internet or distractions

from living and the hay is too damp to bale...

 Practice roping! 

It was a fantastic week away, now to get ready to 

carry on with my studies. Yikes!  Only one more sleep

and I'll be back in the classrooms continuing on with 

my journey of 1000 essays. 

I know I can do this...

... without a doubt I can! 

Back in Action

Hello, I made it home yesterday safe and sound and now I have some catching up to do and not only here on Blogger, but here at home as well. I have laundry to get done, a text book I'm only half through and wanted it read front to back by Tuesday, floors to wash, a house to dust, trim to be painted as well as two small steps stained... ya, it's just not all going to transpire, not in one day. I return to the classrooms on Tuesday and BAM a block week course... just for tonight I'm going to post one photo, just one as it's late and I'll get around to posting more real soon. 

The sun went down on us and it was time to head for home. I absolutely LOVE 

watching the sun set, this gives me time to reflect on my day and I 

give thanks for all I am blessed with in life.

Monday, isn't it just fantastic having a 3 day weekend?

And to everyone else, wishing you a wonderful day as well as a wonderful 

week. This next week is going to be quite intense, I'm not too sure if
