Happy Birthday Derek

My middle child Derek turned 31 on March 11th, yesterday we

had a family dinner at my place to celebrate and honor his

birthday.  Derek's girlfriend bought him a crown, 

looks good on ya son! ;-)

The cake was made by Derek's girlfriend, she did 

an amazing job with it.  As it turns out not only is Taylor Hall

both of my sons favorite Oiler's player, he's also Elyssa's 

favorite, she recognized the jersey number immediately when 

the cake was served! 

Happy Birthday Derek, wishing all of your hopes

and dreams come true!

And we were missing one person, my daughter, 

well she's still clear across the world and doesn't return home

until April 19th... she's busy having the time of her life

and there's going to be plenty more family dinners for her to attend! 

We have so much fun when we all get together.

I am blessed with wonderful, amazing children

and one wee princess who couldn't resist getting in 

the last word as she walked out the door... she said to me 

"See ya later Miss Muffet!"  lol That's what I call her sometimes!

That's a Wrap

I've been madly working on this final paper, yup, FINAL paper

this past few days, the paper is to be no more than 30 pages without
the title page or references and it's supposed to be  

approximately 7500 words.  I'm not too sure who was doing the math, 

because my 30 pages is much more than 7500 words... I'm digressing

though.  Here's where I was at yesterday...

Needless to say I required some incentive to start with my edits, 

as it so happened yesterday morning I was booked in for grad photos, 

for those who don't know me, I'm on the left, and the other lady is

 one of my colleagues. We were goofing around after the photos were done,

 guess you wouldn't be able to figure out who instigated 

this one... or would you? ;-)

After two long grueling days, I am now down to my final edit,  

however this is going to wait until morning when I can see straight. 

There, that's more like it. I'm within page range, words are over 

a considerable amount, however I'm not going to worry about this,

maybe I should have used bigger words?  lol 

Finally, it's almost 3:30am and I believe I'm getting delusional,

on that happy note... that's a wrap! 

Dirt Road Angels

Saturday night I took a time out and went to listen 

to The Dirt Road Angels.  These ladies sing like angels,

or what I'd imagine angels to sing like.
