One Word at a Time

Well these studies are getting to me, I'm reaching the

point where I no longer want to write, I'll do almost

anything to procrastinate, but what fun procrastinating! 

I went to a seniors crib tournament and wouldn't you 

just know it, one of the ladies we were playing against

got a 29 hand! 

Yesterday it was a pedicure, did that ever feel

amazingly wonderful! 

I've even been trying new recipes collected from

facebook... these are French Toast roll ups and 

they're delicious! Especially with the Maple 

Syrup we're so famous for in Canada! 

Last Saturday evening I even went out on a date, 

hope to do that again with the same individual 

real soon, but time will tell. 

I've taken on a research/writing position with the 

University, just a temporary one and now I'm asking

myself WHY... I have a 30 pg. paper to write and now I'm

taking on more writing... yup I must be nuts!

 Now it's time to get this keyboard smokin' and come up 

with some type of brilliance... as they say if you can't dazzle them

with brilliance, baffle them with BS and I don't think at

this stage of this educational journey I can baffle anyone

with BS... just sayin'. 

The one good thing about all of this, this is my FINAL

paper, the paper to end all papers and I'm DONE... 7

years of education, where has the time slipped away? 

As I survey my surroundings, I think that I'm seeing some

of my answers... time to write! 

Also a quick thank you to those of you who have

traveled this journey with me, your encouraging

words have been immensely appreciated!  Now anybody

out there want to tackle a 30 pg. paper for me? ;-) 

One word at a time, I shall get through this! 

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far...

The day has finally arrived for my beautiful daughter, 

I picked her up to take her to the airport.  Her destination...

backpacking through Australia for two months! 

Here is Michelle all set to go, yup this is all 

she's taking with her. 

And me being, well being a Mom and all, I had to 

get in one more photo before we said our farewells

at the airport. 

After my experiences visiting Australia two years ago I know 

how much fun my daughter is going to have, she'll have the time 

of her life!  She's not at all shy, she loves to travel and is

adventurous, she's a lot like me which is a good thing I

do believe.  As the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far 

from the tree, this is so true with the immense amount of

 similarities my daughter and myself share. 

Right, today Michelle also turned over the postcard I sent to 

her from Australia when I was there, she had it on her 

fridge and had forgotten what I wrote to her.

Well what can I say? I have a daughter who listens to her

Momma?  lol

Cheers Michelle, have a blast and if you choose not to 

come home, let me know asap so I can plan a trip over 

for a visit! 

Babies and Photo Shoots

I've had the pleasure of doing two different baby photo shoots.

Not much need for words with these photos, except

I adore children and it was such a pleasure to be

able to coddle new babies again, it's been a 

while with my granddaughter going on... gulp, 

5 in a few short months! 

The first photo shoot I did was for a friend, this

is his first grandchild and such an adorable wee fella, 

the baby this is! ;-)

Sang himself to sleep ;-)

The next photo shoot I did the wee fella was

awake the entire time, not too keen on having

his photos taken but with patience and a few

feedings we managed to get him soothed. 

And while I was doing some of my edits I got to

thinking one of the photos would make a fantastic

birth announcement.  Naturally the name of the child and

all information on this photo is fictitious, but check out the idea... 

And other than this, I've been to numerous meetings, for both
volunteerism and networking purposes and I'm still doing

edits to get my desk cleared off so I can get focused not only

on my studies, but also on a short term research/writing

position I've taken on... yikes, but exciting all at the same time!
